March 25th, 2024- Weekly School Bulletin (See Week's Schedule Here) 3/25 Weekly Bulletin It is time to register your returning HSHMC student for next year using the link that was recently sent to your email. Please do so immediately so that we have updated information and confirmation that your child will be returning to HSHMC next school year. If you need the email with the registration link to be resent to you, please contact us and we will resend it. This week will be our last week of school before Spring Break. It is scheduled for April 1 st through April 5 th . School will resume on Monday, April 8 th . ASB plays a crucial role in enhancing student life on campus by organizing events, activities, and initiatives that promote school spirit, community engagement, and student leadership. From organizing school dances to sponsoring community service projects, our ASB empowers students to make a positive impact both within our school and beyond. Your generous donations will directly support the ASB's efforts in organizing events, purchasing supplies, and funding programs that benefit our student body. We will be discussing our goals, celebrating achievements and showcasing the “grows and glows" of this current school year. This event will be held at the HSHMC campus at 5:00 pm. March 11th, 2024- Weekly School Bulletin (See Week's Schedule Here) Please join us for our HSHMC Talent Show this week! This will be held at HSHMC on Thursday, March 14th at 5pm. Students will be showing off their talents in front of their peers, staff, and parents. Please come The HSHMC Fire Academy will be competing against other fire programs in the greater San Diego area at the Poway Fire Training Tower. They will engage in various contests such as search and rescue, fire hose skills challenges, ground extension ladders, and tools aloft. Location: Fire Department Training Tower, 12335 Crosthwaite Cir, Poway, CA 92064, USA You may receive an email this week regarding iReady intervention for your student during lunch (11:25am-11:45am) or after school (from 3pm-3:30pm). Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns. Please ensure that your child arrives to school on time every day, so that they are not missing important learning and falling behind in their classes. February 26th, 2024- Weekly School Bulletin (See Week's Schedule Here) Hello Families, This upcoming Friday, March 1st, will be a short day for students. School will release at 12:35pm. Please make sure that you have transportation plans for your child on this day! We are offering Academic Recovery on Friday, March 1st, from 1-3pm.  This will be a time for students to clear their incompletes and turn in missing assignments. Students will be notified of which room they will go to.  If your student is in 11th grade and attending the hospital on this day they have will not need to go to ARA.  Please email Dr. J. Smith with any concerns - jsmith@hshmc.org. We have finished up iReady testing for students.  Please ask your child about their scores and data! Please ensure that your child arrives to school on time every day, so that they are not missing important learning and falling behind in their classes. January 29th, 2024- Weekly School Bulletin (See Week's Schedule Here) Hello Families, This upcoming Friday, February 2nd, will be a short day for students. Students will be released at 12:25pm. Keep a look out! Grades have been mailed and should be arriving home within the next few days. We invite all new families and prospective students to join us for an informational showcase where you can learn about our vibrant educational community, innovative programs, and supportive environment. This Open House will be on February 5th at 5:00pm at HSHMC. We offer Academic Recovery on Friday, 2/2/24 from 7:45-8:15 am in Room 104. If a student has a Semester 1 incomplete, we request they attend to clear their incomplete and submit missing work. Please email Dr. J. Smith with any concerns- jsmith@hshmc.org As a reminder, if a student needs to leave early for any reason (doctor’s appointment, sickness, etc.) the protocol is for parents to come to the front office, show ID, and sign their student out to leave.

January 22nd, 2024- Weekly School Bulletin (See Week's Schedule Here) Hello Families, Welcome to Semester 2! The semester officially starts on Monday, January 22nd.  Students have until February 5th to make academic contracts with their teachers to clear their incomplete for Semester 1. Attention: HSHMC Senior Families! All HSHMC Class of 2024 Seniors are invited to attend our Senior Camping Trip on Friday, January 26th to Saturday, January 27th.   We will be leaving by bus from HSHMC on Friday, January 26th at 3:30 pm and returning to HSHMC on Saturday, January 27th at 12:00 pm. Our Camping Trip will be held at: Camp Cedar Glen 743 Farmer Road Julian, CA 92036   Students who plan to attend this free optional senior trip must:
 Reserve their spot by speaking directly to Mr. Davenport or by emailing him at ddavenport@hshmc.org. Turn in a parent signed permission waiver no later than 3pm 1/24/2024 (available at the front desk or directly from Mr. Davenport.) A PowerPoint with specific details regarding expectations and what to bring, i.e. clothing and personal items, has been shared with our Seniors. If you would like a copy, please feel free to contact Mr. Davenport. We hope all our HSHMC Seniors will join us!
