January 24th, 2022- Weekly School Bulletin
This week is the last week of the first semester! Students will be in their regular classes. As a reminder, our schedule has been modified. Students will have minimum days every day this week with early release at 12:30 pm. However, if a student has one or more incompletes, they will be required to stay for Academic Recovery until 3:00 pm each day on Monday through Thursday until all incompletes are cleared. There will not be academic recovery this Friday and all students will be released at 12:30 after finals.
There is a New Student Orientation for new families interested in applying to HSHMC this Wednesday at 5:00 pm. If you know other families interested in applying, we appreciate you letting them know they can join in using the link available on our website.
By now you should have received a letter in the mail from our leadership team with information about our updated Covid-19 policies. (The letter, along with updated policies are attached in the email version of this message and also available on our website.) On January 13, 2022, our Board of Directors extended vaccination requirements to include booster shots for all eligible students and staff to remain part of the HSHMC community. HSHMC students eligible for COVID-19 booster shots must receive those shots and provide documentation of the Booster Shot. Students will be given a grace period of 30 days from when their eligibility begins to allow time to schedule appointments. If your child has already received their booster, please provide documentation to the school. Currently eligible students will need to provide documentation on or before March 1, 2022.
To support this, our next vaccination/booster clinic with Sharp HealthCare will be held on campus on Monday, February 7 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. This clinic is only open for our staff, students, and family members. Appointments are required. If you or your child are booster eligible, please use this special LINK to sign up now!
Also, if you have not already heard, the government is now issuing free at home COVID tests. You can order for your household using this LINK. (https://www.covidtests.gov/)
If you have any questions, please contact the school at 619-528-9070 or email me directly anytime at sjohnson@hshmc.org
Stay well and have a great week – Thank you!
