Weekly Bulletin – June 5th, 2023

June 5th, 2023- Weekly School Bulletin We will be continuing with Academic Recovery and Advancement this week. Class is from 7:45am-8:15am on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. If you know your child should be attending ARA, please make sure you are sending them in the morning from Tuesday through Thursday. This week will be our iReady testing for students in grades 9th, 10th, and 11th. This test will measure your student’s growth over the past year and help teachers to understand what students already know and what they need to work on to reach their goals. Please make sure that your students come to school each day with a charged computer and headphones. We have an adjusted schedule for testing next week depicted below. Testing Schedule Period 1 8:30 - 9:25 Period 2 9:30 -10:25 iReady Testing (with 2nd Period) 10:30 - 12:30 Lunch 12:30 - 1:20 Period 3 1:20 - 2:15 Period 4 2:20 - 3:10 The 2022-2023 yearbooks have arrived!  For underclassmen, if you previously ordered a yearbook, please bring your $40 in starting on Monday, June 5th, to Ms. Fallon. Yearbooks will be handed out on Monday, June 12th. For seniors, you will receive your yearbook after graduation practice on Monday June 12th. If you did not order a yearbook, but you would like one, please fill out this form and bring your $40 to Ms. Fallon. Yearbook Order Form If you are a part of our Parent Committee or are a parent who would like to attend, our last parent advisory meeting will be Tuesday, June 6th, at 4:30pm.  We will discuss the finals schedule, graduation, and summer school. The link to access the zoom meeting can be found on our website under “zoom links”. It is time to register your returning HSHMC student for next year using the link that was sent to your email. Please do so immediately so that we have updated information and confirmation that your child will be returning to HSHMC next year. If you need the email with the registration link to be resent to you, please contact us and we will resend it. Attendance matters! Please ensure that your child arrives to school on time every day, so that they are not missing important learning and falling behind in their classes. Please remember to call us if you know that your child will be absent from school. This way we can excuse their absence for the day they will be missing school.

Weekly Bulletin – May 29th, 2023

May 29th, 2023- Weekly School Bulletin There will be no school this Monday, May 29th, in observance of Memorial Day. School will resume on Tuesday, May 30th. We will be continuing with Academic Recovery and Advancement this week. Class is from 7:45am-8:15am on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. If you know your child should be attending ARA, please make sure you are sending them in the morning from Tuesday through Thursday. We will also have Academic Recovery and Advancement this Friday, June 2nd, after school from 1:10pm- 3:10pm. If your child has any incompletes in their classes, they will be required to attend ARA from 1pm-3pm on this day. If you have any questions regarding your student’s incompletes, please email Dr. Joanna Smith at jschaefer@hshmc.org. This Friday, June 2nd, will be a short day.  Students will be released from school at 12:25pm. Please make sure your child has transportation after school! This upcoming Friday, June 2nd, will be our grad night at Six Flags Magic Mountain for seniors.  The bus will leave HSHMC at 8pm and return at 8am in the morning on Saturday. For students looking for a truly immersive experience through the historic cultures of Eastern Europe, look no further than HSHMC’s Summer 2024 trip through Berlin, Prague, Krakow, and Budapest. Your student has the opportunity to explore Europe through this travel experience. Details will be provided in an informational meeting on Tuesday, May 30th in the Lecture Hall. Weekly Bulletin – May 8th, 2023

May 8th, 2023- Weekly School Bulletin We will be continuing with Academic Recovery and Advancement this week.  Class is from 7:45am-8:15am on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Prom is on Friday, May 19th on the Hornblower Cruise Boat.  The boat will be leaving at 5:00pm and will return at 10:00 pm. If you didn’t yet buy tickets please make sure that you get your money in as soon as possible. The tickets are $100 each. Senior cap and gown pictures will be on Friday, May 12th and 15th during school from 9-12pm.
