October 4th, 2021- Weekly School Bulletin
As you may have heard, school districts across the region are responding to the need to clarify student vaccination plans. Recently the two largest school districts in the State made plans to ensure the vaccination of all eligible students as a condition to attend on-campus learning. HSHMC’s student vaccination plan will be on the agenda at its next school board meeting. It is in all our interests that every eligible San Diegan get vaccinated. To support this, we have scheduled three vaccination clinics here at HSHMC with Sharp HealthCare, the first of which is tomorrow, Monday, October 4 from 10:00am to 2:00pm. It is not too late to make an appointment at MyTurn.ca.gov. Walk-ins are also welcome and encouraged if you cannot make an appointment. Two more clinics have been set up as well on October 25 and November 15 for both 1st and 2nd doses. Please come and get vaccinated. As always we strongly recommend you contact your physician if you have any health concerns or questions regarding vaccination safety.
If your child is already fully vaccinated, please remember to provide the school with a copy of the vaccination card for our records.
This Wednesday, October 6 at 5:30 pm is our Virtual Parent Advisory College Knowledge Night. All are welcome, however this session will be geared towards our current 12th grade students and their parents as we focus on the fall college application process and financial aid. The link for the session will be located on our website and the email part of this message. We will hold a second College Knowledge Night in the Spring for families of our juniors.
