November 14th, 2022- Weekly School Bulletin We will be continuing with Academic Recovery this week. Class is from 7:45am-8:15am on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. If your child has any incompletes in their classes they should be attending ARA in order to complete missed classwork/assignments. If you know your child should be attending ARA, please make sure you are sending them in the morning from Tuesday through Thursday. This week is the last week before Thanksgiving break. School will be closed from Monday, November 21st through Friday, November, 25 th . Enjoy your holiday break! Senior picture day retakes will be this week on Thursday, November 17 th , during school. If your child was absent or did not take their picture, please make sure they come to school on time this day to get their senior picture taken. If you have any non-perishables to donate, our NHS team are holding a food drive all this week. These items can include canned food, grains, dry goods, dehydrated fruits and vegetables, etc. Our open enrollment has started for the 2023-2024 school year. If you or someone you know is interested in enrolling their child at HSHMC next year, please refer to our website to fill out an application. Attendance matters! Please ensure that your child arrives to school on time every day, so that they are not missing important learning and falling behind in their classes. Quarter Grades were also mailed out last week, so please ensure that you are looking out for those in the mail this week. Daylight Savings time ends on Sunday, November 6 th , giving you an extra hour of sleep! Don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour and make sure that your child arrives at school on time. There will be no school on Friday, November 11 th , in observance of Veteran’s Day. Thank you to those of our families who serve or have served in the U.S. armed forces. October 31st, 2022- Weekly School Bulletin We will be continuing with Academic Recovery this week. Class is from 7:45am-8:15am on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. If your child has any incompletes in their classes they should be attending ARA in order to complete missed classwork/assignments. Happy Halloween! Halloween is on Monday, October 31 st . Students are allowed to wear costumes, however, masks and accessories/props that resemble weapons are not allowed. Senior Picture Day is this Thursday on November 3 rd ! We ask that your child wears a black top for uniformity and please make sure their top has sleeves, no shoulders showing or tank tops. For boys, please wear a black button-down shirt and tie. This week on Tuesday, November 1 st , we will be having a UCSD representative visit our campus to inform seniors about the UC application process as they begin to apply for colleges. They will be meeting after school at 3:30pm. ASB is holding a costume contest Monday, October 31 st , at lunch in the Cafeteria! Prices will be awarded to the top 3 costumes as voted on by our Costume Judges! Attendance matters! October 24th, 2022- Weekly School Bulletin We will be continuing with Academic Recovery this week. Class is from 7:45am-8:15am on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. If your child has any incompletes in their classes they should be attending ARA. The quarter ends this week on Friday, October 28 th , so we want to make sure that students are doing their best and completing missed classwork/assignments. This week on Thursday, October 27 th , we will be having an SDSU representative visit our campus to inform seniors about the CSU application process as they begin to apply for colleges. They will be meeting after school at 3:30pm. There will also be a Parent Committee meeting on Tuesday, October 25 th , through Zoom from 4:30-5:30pm. You can find the Zoom link for the meeting on our HSHMC website. Attendance matters!
