Weekly Bulletin – October 17th, 2022
October 17th, 2022- Weekly School Bulletin We will be continuing with Academic Recovery this week. Class is from 7:45am-8:15am on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. If your child has any incompletes in their classes they should be attending ARA. The quarter ends in two weeks on October 28 th, so we want to make sure that students are doing their best and completing missed classwork/assignments. Picture Day is coming up this week for grades 9-11 on Tuesday October 18 th . Students will be taking pictures in their history class on that day. In a couple of weeks, we will be having an SDSU representative for Cal State visit our campus on October 27 th at 3:30pm. They will be speaking to our seniors about the application process and other necessary steps to apply for college. We also have some Varsity and JV Volleyball games scheduled for this week: Varsity Girls Volleyball: 10/17 vs El Cajon Valley @ ECV @ 6:30 PM 10/18 vs Cristo Rey @ Cristo Rey @ 4:30 pm 10/20 vs Preuss @ Park De La Cruz @ 4:15 JV Girls Volleyball: 10/17 vs El Cajon Valley @ ECV @ 5:00 PM 10/20 vs High Tech High North Country @ Park de la cruz @ 3:15 pm Flag Football also has a game on Saturday, October 22nd at Bayfront Charter at 9 am vs Cristo Rey.

October 10th, 2022- Weekly School Bulletin There will be an ASB fundraiser this Tuesday, October 11th during our lunch time from 11:25am- 12:15pm. Cheese and Pepperoni pizza slices will be sold for $2 a slice and we will be accepting cash or check! We will be continuing with Academic Recovery this week. October 3rd, 2022- Weekly School Bulletin This week at HSHMC we will be having a short day on Friday, October 7th. School will be dismissed at 12:30pm. This does not affect students who have their hospital internships on Friday. They will still be at the hospital for the entire school day and will be getting out of school at 3:00pm. There will also be an Admissions Counselor representative from San Diego State University coming to campus on Friday, October 7th. They will be here from 1-2pm in room 303 for students to learn more about the admissions process to SDSU. We also have a few sporting events coming up this week: Varsity Girls Volleyball - Thursday, October 6th at King Chavez at 4:30 pm JV Girls Volleyball - Tuesday, October 4th at High Tech High North County at 3:15 pm Cross country - Thursday, October 6th at 3:30 at NTC Park Flag Football - October 8 at Bayfront Charter at 11 am vs Monarch School

September 19, 2022- Weekly School Bulletin If you are interested in joining parent committee, there will be an online meeting through Zoom on Tuesday, September 20 th , at 5:30pm. You can find the link to the Zoom on our website in the "News and Updates" section. We are excited to welcome students back to the hospital, as we will be starting internships this week on Monday, September 19 th ! College classes will also be officially staring on Monday, September 19 th . Please be mindful that our first round of competencies are next week, which will generate grades in PowerSchool. Please check your parent portal for these grades. If you have any questions about PowerSchool please feel free to contact the school.

Spirit Week September 12-16th Monday - Pajama day + Bring your favorite stuffed sidekick Tuesday - Twin Day - Match with a friend or friends Wednesday - Class color day - Seniors Wear Black, Juniors where Maroon or red, Sophomores wear White, and Freshman wear Teal. Thursday - Bikers Vs. Surfers - Choose a side and dress like a surfer or a biker Friday- HSHMC Spirit Day- Wear your HSHMC Gear. Fall Sports Pep Rally on Friday at lunch by the brown benches!
