Weekly Bulletin – March 13th, 2023
March 13th, 2023- Weekly School Bulletin We will be continuing with Academic Recovery and Advancement this week. Class is from 7:45am-8:15am on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. If you know your child should be attending ARA, please make sure you are sending them in the morning from Tuesday through Thursday. If you have any questions regarding your student’s incompletes, please email Dr. Joanna Smith at jschaefer@hshmc.org. If you are a part of our Parent Committee or you are interested in joining, we will be having a meeting on Tuesday, March 14th at 4:30pm. You can find Zoom information on our HSHMC website. Daylight Savings Time will start on Sunday, March 12th. Don’t forget to set your clocks forward one hour and make sure that your child arrives at school on time! You are invited! Please join us for our Family Night at HSHMC this week on Thursday, March 16th! All family members are welcome to meet us on top of our parking structure from 5pm-7pm. Come join us for a night of fun with a delicious taco bar, fun games, lowriders, and appearances from our HOSA and Fire program! This is a chance to meet teachers and staff, as well as mingle with fellow families! If you have not yet, please follow the link below or scan the QR code to fill out a Google Form to provide your student's name, grade, and the number of family members that will be attending this event. We look forward to seeing you all there! Seniors do not need to purchase yearbooks, as the price is included in their senior dues. Yearbooks are $40 that you will pay at a later date. Again, seniors do not need to purchase a yearbook since it is included in their senior dues. February 27th, 2023- Weekly School Bulletin We will be continuing with Academic Recovery and Advancement this week. Class is from 7:45am-8:15am on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. We will also have Academic Recovery and Advancement this Friday, March 3rd, after school from 1:10pm- 3:10pm. 9th and 10th graders with incompletes will be assigned to rooms on the 2nd floor. 11th and 12th-graders need to report to room 303. Please check your HSHMC email, as teachers have emailed students their missing competencies. HSHMC is participating in the Love Your Heart campaign in association with Live Well San Diego. Next Thursday, February 16, students from the HSHMC Fire program will be taking blood pressure’s after school to promote heart wellness. Please feel free to come by, we look forward to seeing you! Please be aware that school is closed for Presidents’ Day Weekend on Friday, February 17th, and Monday, February 20th. School will resume on Tuesday, February 21st. Senior Dues were due on Jan. 31, 2023 and we still have many students who have not paid. If you have not yet paid for Senior Dues for your child please pay as soon as possible or contact Ms. Emelie Allen with concerns at eallen@hshmc.org. Attendance matters! Weekly Bulletin – February 6th, 2023
February 6th, 2023- Weekly School Bulletin Thank you to a great start to our second semester! We have some events and updates for you all this week. We will be continuing with Academic Recovery this week. Class is from 7:45am-8:15am on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. If you know your child should be attending ARA, please make sure you are sending them in the morning from Tuesday through Thursday. For those students taking the college Biology lab this semester, the lab meets every Friday on the Cuyamaca campus for the second semester except on school holidays. Students will not return to HSHMC for pick up until 4:00pm each Friday starting February 3rd. Your student will know if they are taking this class! HSHMC’s NHS is hosting the San Diego Blood Bank this Tuesday, February 7, from 9am- 2:30pm. If you or your student, who is 17 or older, would like to donate blood please sign-up using the San Diego Blood Bank Link. Senior Dues were due on Jan. 31, 2023 and we still have many students who have not paid. If you have not yet paid for Senior Dues for your child please pay as soon as possible or contact Ms. Emelie Allen with concerns at eallen@hshmc.org. Again, our KP Sports Complex is now open for students to enjoy on the top floor of our parking garage at HSHMC. Students can utilize this sports complex during lunch hours or after school from 3:10pm-4:10pm. Attendance matters!
