Weekly Bulletin – September 27, 2021

September 27th, 2021- Weekly School Bulletin This Wednesday, September 29 at 5:00 pm is our first Virtual Parent Advisory Group meeting of the year. We hope to increase our membership each year and invite you to join this wonderful group of parents partnering with us to make HSHMC the best school in the universe. Our Parent Advisory Group helps to plan programs and activities that support our HSHMC students and families. If you would like to attend, please join us using the link on our website. https://hshmc.zoom.us/j/85822899664 Meeting ID: 858 2289 9664 This Wednesday at lunch there is a college information meeting for seniors to help them start the application process for CSU and UC schools and the FAFSA which opens on October 1st. Our Virtual College Knowledge night for families is on October 6 at 5:30 pm. Our free trip for students to Knott’s Berry Farm is scheduled for Saturday November 13 from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. Students must be fully vaccinated and have turned in proof to HSHMC. For students to reserve their spot, they need to pick up a permission slip from the front desk and return it along with proof of vaccination. If you have already turned in a copy of their card, we have that on file. It’s not too late to get vaccinated! Sharp HealthCare will be here on campus October 4 from 10:00 to 2:00 pm. The clinic is open to all HSHMC students, families and community members 12 years and older. Make an appointment now at  MyTurn.ca.gov. Walk-ins are welcome but for the least amount of wait-time, please make an appointment. Two more clinics have been set up as well on October 25 and November 15. Each year HSHMC families are required to complete an Income Eligibility Form (similar to the lunch application). By completing the form you are taking part in an important process that that helps us secure critical funding so we can continue to meet the needs of all our students and families.  If we have not yet received the form for your family, a notice with a link to the form was sent to your email. If you have more than one student at HSHMC, only one form is required. If you have questions please contact the school at 619-528-9070, or email me any time at sjohnson@hshmc.org. Have a great week. Thank you
