Weekly Bulletin – May 1st, 2023

May 1st, 2023- Weekly School Bulletin We will be continuing with Academic Recovery and Advancement this week. Class is from 7:45 am-8:15 am on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. If you know your child should be attending ARA, please make sure you are sending them in the morning from Tuesday through Thursday. We will also have Academic Recovery and Advancement this Friday, May 5th, after school from 1:10 pm- 3:10 pm. 9th and 10th graders with incompletes will be assigned to rooms on the 2nd floor. 11th and 12th graders need to report to room 303. Please check your HSHMC email, as teachers have emailed students their missing competencies. If you have questions regarding your student’s incompletes, please email Dr. Joanna Smith at  jschaefer@hshmc.org . This Friday, May 5th, will be a short day. Students will be released from school at 12:25 pm. Please make sure your child has transportation after school! We will also be hosting our Spring Fling Dance this Friday, May 5th. The dance will be held at our new Kippy’s Center from 6-9 pm. Tickets will be on sale all this week at lunch for $10. There will be a Parent Committee meeting this upcoming Tuesday, May 2nd at 4:30 pm. We will be sending out the agenda for this meeting on Monday, May 1st, to the members of the Parent Committee. We are still welcoming new members to the committee, so if you would like to join please feel free to stop in! You can find the Zoom link information on our HSHMC website. Under the news and events tab on our website, you will see an option to subscribe to our events calendar to stay up to date with all things HSHMC. To continue to inform and involve families in our efforts to design the most exciting, engaging,  and effective education for our student body, we invite you to take our Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) survey. The survey and more information about the LCAP can be found on our website at  www.hshmc.org  under the “About” tab or by clicking here.  Your opinion matters. Please take a few minutes to visit our site and take the survey. (Or click here to go directly to the survey available in  English  and  Spanish .) It is time to register your returning HSHMC student for next year using the link that was recently sent to your email. Please do so immediately so we have updated information and confirmation that your child will return to HSHMC next year. If you need the email with the registration link to be resent to you, please contact us and we will resend it. Attendance matters! Please ensure that your child arrives at school on time every day, so that they are not missing important learning and falling behind in their classes. Weekly Bulletin – April 17th, 2023

April  17th, 2023- Weekly School Bulletin We will be continuing with Academic Recovery and Advancement this week. Class is from 7:45am-8:15am on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. If you know your child should be attending ARA, please make sure you are sending them in the morning from Tuesday through Thursday. Quarter 3 grades were mailed out last week on Thursday, April 13th. Please keep an eye out and expect your grades in the mail sometime this week! This upcoming week on Monday, April 17th, we will have a SDSDU admissions counselor on campus from 8:30am - 9am for our students who have been admitted into SDSU for Fall 2023. The counselor will share information on what the next steps are for our students and answer any clarifying questions they may have. Quarter grades will be mailed out this week on Wednesday, April 12th. Please keep an eye out and expect your grades in the mail next week!
