Jan. 18, 2021- Weekly School Bulletin

We are pleased to announce that we have launched a new version of our website. We hope you are as thrilled as we are with the new look and that you find navigating to what you are looking for much easier and more user friendly. Please check us out at the same address as always www.hshmc.org.

There is a virtual New Student Orientation (password: Apply) for new families applying for 9th through 12th grade for the 2021-2022 school year this Thursday, January 21 at 5:30 pm. If you know other families interested in applying to HSHMC, we appreciate you letting them know about this informative orientation. The link for the orientation can be found on our website. Please also note that our open enrollment application period ends February 1. If you have not already submitted an application for a sibling of a current HSHMC student, please do so before the February 1 deadline.

Quarter 2 ends next Friday, January 29. Please check your child’s grades on PowerSchool. It is expected that any student who holds an incomplete in any course is actively taking advantage of teachers’ online office hours and resources we have put in place to support their academic efforts. If you need any help logging into PowerSchool, please contact us.

We will be handing out school supplies for Quarter 3 classes next week on January 27-29 from 8:30 am to 10:00 am outside at HSHMC (with social distance measures in place). Pick up for 9th and 10th graders will be on Wednesday, the 27th, 11th and 12th will pick up on Thursday, the 28th, and Friday the 29th will be used for those who are unable to come on their assigned day. If you have more than one HSHMC student in your home and they are assigned to pick up on both Wednesday and Thursday, please pick up for both your children on Thursday. Both you and your child will receive notification if you have supplies that need to be picked up. If you do not receive notification, it means that your child already has everything he or she needs for their 3rd quarter classes. When you come to pick up new supplies, please remember to bring any text books that need to be returned from a course that has ended. If your child does not need any new school supplies but has a book to return, please drive through on any of the 3 days to drop them off.

If you have questions, or just want to touch base, I am holding Principal’s Office Hours (password: HSHMC) via Zoom at 9:00 am on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week. The Zoom link is available on our website. I can also be reached by email anytime at sjohnson@hshmc.org.

Have a good and safe week. Thank you.
