May 2nd, 2021- Weekly School Bulletin

With everyone 16 years of age and older now eligible to get a COVID-19 vaccination, HSHMC fully encourages you and any member of your household 16 years and older to get a vaccine as soon as you can. Widespread vaccination is a critical tool to help stop the pandemic. We are working with our healthcare partners to help facilitate vaccinations for our students. We will let you know more as that opportunity develops. In the meantime, you can check your local pharmacy to see if vaccination appointments are available. Also, there are now many walk-thru sites throughout San Diego County. A link for a list of those sites can be found on our website as part of this message (Vaccination Locations).

As a reminder, Governor Newsom has announced that June 15, California will fully open its economy if two criteria are met: If vaccine supply is sufficient for Californians 16 years and older who wish to be vaccinated; and, if hospitalization rates are stable and low. Therefore, if these conditions are met, HSHMC plans to offer a full summer school program. We continue to plan, pay attention to local, state and national conditions and recommendations and share our best available information with you. In hopes that these conditions will be met, summer school registration forms are being sent out by mail this week. Summer school will begin on Monday, June 21. We are planning to offer four sessions, each session will be three-weeks long, for three hours a day. The last day of the summer sessions ends on Thursday, July 29.

If you have questions, or just want to touch base, I am holding Principal’s Office Hours (password: HSHMC) via Zoom at 9:00 am on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week. The Zoom link is available on our website. I can also be reached by email anytime at sjohnson@hshmc.org.

Have a good and safe week. Thank you.
