September 18th, 2023- Weekly School Bulletin Hello Families, Thank you to everyone who came out for our Welcome Back Event at Kippy’s Center last week! We had an amazing time meeting with all of you and getting the opportunity to build more connections with our students’ families. We hope you all enjoyed the night as much as we did! Here is a short video with some highlights from the night: Back to School Video For safety reasons, if your student will be driving to school, they will need to fill out a form with some information in order to have driving privileges on campus. They can retrieve this form from the front office and turn it back in before they will be allowed to drive to school. Our hospital internship program has officially started this week. HSHMC students have the opportunity to experience their health internship once a week and attendance is important. Please make sure that your child attends each week to ensure they don’t miss out on an amazing experience. We have some exciting sports games coming up this week! Tuesday, 9/19 - Volleyball home game at Park De La Cruz against Pruess @3pm Thursday, 9/21 - Cross Country meet at NTC Park (Liberty Station) @3pm Friday, 9/22 - Volleyball home game at Park De La Cruz against King Chavez @3pm Attendance matters! September 11th, 2023- Weekly School Bulletin Hello Families, We are very excited that this week is our Back to School Celebration at HSHMC on Wednesday, September 13th! All family members are welcome to meet us at our Kippy's Center on top of our parking structure from 5pm-8pm. Come join us for a night of fun to meet with teachers, learn about/join clubs, eat dinner, enjoy games, and listen to live music! This is a chance to meet teachers and staff, as well as mingle with fellow families! September 4th, 2023- Weekly School Bulletin Hello Families, There will be no school this Monday, September 4th. Enjoy your three-day weekend! We will see you back at school on Tuesday, September 5th. Our iReady testing will take place this week September 5th through 8th. This assessment helps teachers to understand what your student already knows, and what they need to work on to reach their goals. Students should bring a charged laptop, charger, and headphones. For safety reasons, if your student will be driving to school, they will need to fill out a form with some information in order to have driving privileges on campus. August 28th, 2023- Weekly School Bulletin Hello Families, Our first week of school at HSHMC was a huge success! Students had a great time during our Welcome Week and had the opportunity to participate in fun games and activities on Thursday during our Kippy’s Cup event. Make sure to ask your students about their week and the Kippy’s Cup! We have some exciting sports that we will be offering at HSHMC this school year that include cross country (Mr. Ruff and Mr. Arnold), girls’ volleyball (Ms. Prince and Ms. Trgo), and flag football (Mr. Miranda and Mr. Lauritzen). If your student is interested in participating in any of these sports, please have them contact one of the coaches at school. If you are interested in becoming a part of our Parent Committee or are already a member, please join us this Wednesday, August 30th for our meeting via Zoom at 4:30pm. June 5th, 2023- Weekly School Bulletin We will be continuing with Academic Recovery and Advancement this week. Class is from 7:45am-8:15am on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. If you know your child should be attending ARA, please make sure you are sending them in the morning from Tuesday through Thursday. This week will be our iReady testing for students in grades 9th, 10th, and 11th. This test will measure your student’s growth over the past year and help teachers to understand what students already know and what they need to work on to reach their goals. Please make sure that your students come to school each day with a charged computer and headphones. We have an adjusted schedule for testing next week depicted below. Testing Schedule Period 1 8:30 - 9:25 Period 2 9:30 -10:25 iReady Testing (with 2nd Period) 10:30 - 12:30 Lunch 12:30 - 1:20 Period 3 1:20 - 2:15 Period 4 2:20 - 3:10 The 2022-2023 yearbooks have arrived!  For underclassmen, if you previously ordered a yearbook, please bring your $40 in starting on Monday, June 5th, to Ms. Fallon. Yearbooks will be handed out on Monday, June 12th. For seniors, you will receive your yearbook after graduation practice on Monday June 12th. If you did not order a yearbook, but you would like one, please fill out this form and bring your $40 to Ms. Fallon. Yearbook Order Form If you are a part of our Parent Committee or are a parent who would like to attend, our last parent advisory meeting will be Tuesday, June 6th, at 4:30pm.  We will discuss the finals schedule, graduation, and summer school. The link to access the zoom meeting can be found on our website under “zoom links”. It is time to register your returning HSHMC student for next year using the link that was sent to your email. Please do so immediately so that we have updated information and confirmation that your child will be returning to HSHMC next year.
