Hospital Internship Documentary: A Behind-the-Scenes Journey Health Sciences High’s Sharp Hospital Internship offers one of the most immersive and transformative experiences available to high school students in all of San Diego. Each morning, our staff gathers to share school news, celebrate student achievements with “glows” and address areas of growth with “grows.” One of the highlights of these meetings is hearing from our Patient Care Pathway team about the incredible work our students are doing at the hospital. The staff hears incredible stories of our students in action, whether they're assisting in the fast-paced emergency room, working in the lab, supporting labor and delivery, or helping in the nursing units. While these stories are exciting and rich with detail, only a few community members truly get to witness the extraordinary work these students are doing firsthand—until now. This short documentary offers a rare inside look into a day at the hospital with three remarkable Health Sciences High students: Mildred (Class of ‘26), Tony (Class of ‘25), and Caro (Class of ‘24). Follow them as they navigate the complexities of patient care and discover what it takes to succeed in a healthcare setting.

Back to School Night Recap (Video and Photos)
Back to School Night Recap + Video Back to School Night brought together over 550 students, families, staff, and community members for an unforgettable evening. It was a chance to connect, share, and kick off the school year with enthusiasm. Parents enjoyed meeting teachers and staff while savoring bites from local favorites like Ali’s Chicken, Cheesy Amigos, URBN Pizza, and Gringas Tacos. Black Pearl Barbershop provided free haircuts, and students from the Fire Pathway engaged attendees with hands-on demonstrations of essential first-aid techniques. SHARP members proudly represented the Patient Care Pathway, ASB sold school merch, and the Connect Crew kept everything running smoothly. The night had a vibrant energy, with highlights like the athletics pep rally, henna from the Muslim Student Association, and live music! We're looking forward to an incredible year ahead!
