January 22nd, 2024- Weekly School Bulletin (See Week's Schedule Here) Hello Families, Welcome to Semester 2! The semester officially starts on Monday, January 22nd.  Students have until February 5th to make academic contracts with their teachers to clear their incomplete for Semester 1. Attention: HSHMC Senior Families! All HSHMC Class of 2024 Seniors are invited to attend our Senior Camping Trip on Friday, January 26th to Saturday, January 27th.   We will be leaving by bus from HSHMC on Friday, January 26th at 3:30 pm and returning to HSHMC on Saturday, January 27th at 12:00 pm. Our Camping Trip will be held at: Camp Cedar Glen 743 Farmer Road Julian, CA 92036   Students who plan to attend this free optional senior trip must: Reserve their spot by speaking directly to Mr. Davenport or by emailing him at ddavenport@hshmc.org. Turn in a parent signed permission waiver no later than 3pm 1/24/2024 (available at the front desk or directly from Mr. Davenport.) A PowerPoint with specific details regarding expectations and what to bring, i.e. clothing and personal items, has been shared with our Seniors. If you would like a copy, please feel free to contact Mr. Davenport. We hope all our HSHMC Seniors will join us! If your child has not signed up yet, please have them do so NOW!!

January 16th, 2024- Weekly School Bulletin (See Week's Schedule Here) There will be no school on Monday, January 15th, in observance of MLK Day! Welcome to finals week! Midterms and finals will be every day this week during school. The last day of the semester will be on Friday, January 19th. We will have minimum days all of this week. Students will be released from school at 12:25pm. Please make sure your child has transportation after school! Tuesday and Wednesday's schedule will be as follows: P1 - 8:30 to 9:25 AM P2 - 9:30 to 10:25 AM P3 - 10:30 to 11:25 AM P4 - 11:30 to 12:25 PM The schedule for Finals (TH/F) will be as follows: Thursday 8:30 - 10:10 - First Period 10:10 - 10:45 - Break 10:45 - 12:25 - Second Period Friday 8:30 - 10:10 - Third Period 10:10 - 10:45 - Break 10:45 - 12:25 - Fourth Period Academic Recovery will be held from 1 pm - 3 pm on January 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th.  Any student holding an incomplete is asked to attend these days to clear their missing work. Students will be assigned to the following rooms: 9th Grade - 104 10th Grade - 301 & 302 11th & 12th Grade - 206 Both teachers and intervention staff are available to work with students during these modified schedule days.  If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Joanna Smith at jsmith@hshmc.org or call the front desk at (619) 528-9070. Please ensure that your child arrives to school on time every day, so that they are not missing important learning and falling behind in their classes. Please remember to call us if you know that your child will be absent from school. This way we can excuse their absence for the day they will be missing school. Please make sure your child has transportation after school! We will have Academic Recovery on Fridays from 7:45am-8:15am. You will be receiving an email if your student is required to attend ARA in order to complete missed classwork/assignments. Please contact Dr. Joanna Smith at jsmith@hshmc.org if you have any questions or concerns. It is open enrollment time at HSHMC! We are now accepting applications for the 2024-2025 school year for grades 9-12. This open enrollment period ends February 2, 2024. Siblings of current HSHMC students should submit their applications NOW! If you have friends and family that may be interested, please let them know to apply as well.
