March 13th, 2023- Weekly School Bulletin We will be continuing with Academic Recovery and Advancement this week.  Class is from 7:45am-8:15am on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. If you know your child should be attending ARA, please make sure you are sending them in the morning from Tuesday through Thursday. HSHMC is participating in the Love Your Heart campaign in association with Live Well San Diego. Next Thursday, February 16, students from the HSHMC Fire program will be taking blood pressure’s after school to promote heart wellness. Please feel free to come by, we look forward to seeing you! Please be aware that school is closed for Presidents’ Day Weekend on Friday, February 17th, and Monday, February 20th.  School will resume on Tuesday, February 21st. February 6th, 2023- Weekly School Bulletin Thank you to a great start to our second semester! We have some events and updates for you all this week. We will be continuing with Academic Recovery this week.  Class is from 7:45am-8:15am on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. If you know your child should be attending ARA, please make sure you are sending them in the morning from Tuesday through Thursday. For those students taking the college Biology lab this semester, the lab meets every Friday on the Cuyamaca campus for the second semester except on school holidays.  Students will not return to HSHMC for pick up until 4:00pm each Friday starting February 3rd.  Your student will know if they are taking this class! HSHMC’s NHS is hosting the San Diego Blood Bank this Tuesday, February 7, from 9am- 2:30pm. If you or your student, who is 17 or older, would like to donate blood please sign-up using the San Diego Blood Bank Link. We are excited to move on to semester 2, which starts this week on Monday, January 30th! If your child has any incompletes from semester 1, this will be the time for them to clear and complete some of their missed classwork/assignments. Sharp HealthCare will be on campus this Tuesday, January 17th, to provide TB tests and Flu shots to students who will be attending hospital internships 2nd semester and have not already received their TB or Flu. No TB or Flu shots will be given without parent permission. If you have not yet provided permission and your child needs TB or flu, please return the permission slip on Tuesday that was given to your child. We will also try to reach you by phone to confirm permission. As a reminder, Senior Dues are due on January 31st. December 12th, 2022- Weekly School Bulletin This will be our last week of school before winter break. The last day before winter break is December 16 th . School will be closed between December 19 th and January 2 nd . Classes resume on January 3, 2023. We will be continuing with Academic Recovery this week. The Community Engagement Club will be collecting donations through Wednesday of non- perishable food items, clothes, and hygienic supplies. We appreciate any and all donations to help support our community. We will be having Spirit Week all this week with a fun theme each day. We also have a Winter Sports Pep Rally on the new Sports Deck at lunch on Tuesday.  The theme for each day is as follows: Monday - Pajama Day Tuesday - Anything but a Backpack Wednesday - Twin Day Thursday - Adam Sandler Day Friday - Holiday Spirit and Ugly Sweater If you are interested in joining our school’s Parent Committee, please join us for our next meeting via Zoom on December 13 th at 4:30pm. November 21st, 2022- Weekly School Bulletin There will be no school next week, November 21st through November 25th, in observance of Thanksgiving.  Have a wonderful and restful break!

November 14th, 2022- Weekly School Bulletin We will be continuing with Academic Recovery this week. Class is from 7:45am-8:15am on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. If your child has any incompletes in their classes they should be attending ARA in order to complete missed classwork/assignments. School will be closed from Monday, November 21st through Friday, November, 25 th . Enjoy your holiday break! Senior picture day retakes will be this week on Thursday, November 17 th , during school. If your child was absent or did not take their picture, please make sure they come to school on time this day to get their senior picture taken. If you have any non-perishables to donate, our NHS team are holding a food drive all this week. These items can include canned food, grains, dry goods, dehydrated fruits and vegetables, etc. Our open enrollment has started for the 2023-2024 school year. If you or someone you know is interested in enrolling their child at HSHMC next year, please refer to our website to fill out an application. Attendance matters!
