March 20th, 2023- Weekly School Bulletin We will be continuing with Academic Recovery and Advancement this week.  Class is from 7:45am-8:15am on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. If you know your child should be attending ARA, please make sure you are sending them in the morning from Tuesday through Thursday. We enjoyed meeting new families and connecting with our HSHMC community for a night of games, food, low riders, and fun! February 13th, 2023- Weekly School Bulletin We will be continuing with Academic Recovery this week.  Class is from 7:45am-8:15am on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. HSHMC is participating in the Love Your Heart campaign in association with Live Well San Diego. Next Thursday, February 16, students from the HSHMC Fire program will be taking blood pressure’s after school to promote heart wellness. Please feel free to come by, we look forward to seeing you! Please be aware that school is closed for Presidents’ Day Weekend on Friday, February 17th, and Monday, February 20th.  School will resume on Tuesday, February 21st. February 6th, 2023- Weekly School Bulletin Thank you to a great start to our second semester! We have some events and updates for you all this week. We will be continuing with Academic Recovery this week.  Class is from 7:45am-8:15am on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. If you know your child should be attending ARA, please make sure you are sending them in the morning from Tuesday through Thursday. For those students taking the college Biology lab this semester, the lab meets every Friday on the Cuyamaca campus for the second semester except on school holidays.  Students will not return to HSHMC for pick up until 4:00pm each Friday starting February 3rd.  Your student will know if they are taking this class! HSHMC’s NHS is hosting the San Diego Blood Bank this Tuesday, February 7, from 9am- 2:30pm. If you or your student, who is 17 or older, would like to donate blood please sign-up using the San Diego Blood Bank Link. Senior Dues were due on Jan. 31, 2023 and we still have many students who have not paid.  If you have not yet paid for Senior Dues for your child please pay as soon as possible or contact Ms. Emelie Allen with concerns at eallen@hshmc.org. We are excited to move on to semester 2, which starts this week on Monday, January 30th! We will be continuing with Academic Recovery this semester.  Class is from 7:45am-8:15am on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. If your child has any incompletes from semester 1, this will be the time for them to clear and complete some of their missed classwork/assignments. If you know your child should be attending ARA, please make sure you are sending them in the morning from Tuesday through Thursday. Sharp HealthCare will be on campus this Tuesday, January 17th, to provide TB tests and Flu shots to students who will be attending hospital internships 2nd semester and have not already received their TB or Flu. No TB or Flu shots will be given without parent permission. If you have not yet provided permission and your child needs TB or flu, please return the permission slip on Tuesday that was given to your child. We will also try to reach you by phone to confirm permission. As a reminder, Senior Dues are due on January 31st. This Tuesday, January 10th, our 10th graders will be off campus to attend a field study at Balboa Park to extend their learning outside of the classroom. The students will leave HSHMC at 9:00am and arrive back to school at 1:00pm. We will provide students bagged lunches or your students can bring money to purchase snacks at the park or bring their own lunch.
